照明系统沿斜拉桥全长和斜拉索塔内侧进行动态照明。这两个元素结合在一起，能够在夜间呈现出微妙和动态的照明场景，从蒙特利尔市中心和周边社区都能看到。对灯具安装细节和位置的精确研究，结合复杂的DMX通道和区域时间表，以及光污染计算，都是确保照明系统与结构良好集成的主要技术要求。

由于季节性鸟类迁徙提出了独特的挑战，环境因素也影响了设计。研究表明，蓝光和绿光的波长是最不分散鸟类注意力的，因此开发了一个定制的动态场景。计算点的圆柱体用于评估光污染，了解光发射，并尽量减少反射到环境中。

Samuel De Champlain Bridge

Spanning over two miles (three km) across the Saint Lawrence Seaway, the Samuel de Champlain bridge is a modern symbol of the thriving city of Montreal. As part of the design-build team commissioned to conceive and construct this dramatic cable stayed bridge, HLB spent over five years meticulously developing a complex dynamic lighting design that visually represents the diverse population that calls both Montreal and Canada home.

The lighting system carries the dynamic movement of light along the entire length and up the inner faces of the cable stay tower. Combined, these two elements provide a nighttime presence capable of both subtle and dynamic lighting scenes that are visible from downtown Montreal and the surrounding communities.
